Gut Health Research & Studies

Functional Gut Diagnostics is committed to carrying out research and development in order to improve current diagnostic practices, produce new diagnostic tests and contribute to knowledge in the field of gastrointestinal physiology.

We currently perform in-house research and audit activity to improve our practices and technology in order to produce more accurate, sensitive and specific testing. Recent projects have included interrogating our own hydrogen and methane breath test protocols, in turn contributing to national efforts to standardise this test.

In conjunction with our sister company The Functional Gut Clinic, we welcome research collaborations with other healthcare providers, pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies.

We are currently involved in several collaborative research projects and are recruiting for some of them, so if you have patients that may be suitable, please let us know or get the patient to contact us directly.
